The 4th Exhibition of New Expression of Asia Art & Academic
- Forum of Asian Art was held successfully in Zhengzhou, China,on May13-17 , 2008 at the National Museum, over 300 Artists from 20 Asian countries and the regions,which organized Henan's governor and officiated by president, Cultural Committee of China, Foreign Committee of China, attended with many VIPs.
29 artists, representing of Korea, participated in this event as its turn rounding of Asian regions.
Taking the way of Biennale form which will be held, focus on the highlights its value of Asian worth, started from an issue of New Expression's image based on the heritage of abundant culture in Asia which has been inspired to transform into the Asian contemporary art for so long, it'll be an opportunity to regain as its asian renaissance that stands for a silk road in asian history.
제 4회 정주 비엔날레가 중국 정주 에서 아시아 지역 20여개국 250여명이 참가하여 5월13일 부터 17일 까지 정주 국립 미술관에서 하남성 성장과 각국주요 귀빈이 참가한 가운데 중국 외교위원회, 중국 문화위원회의 후원으로 성대히 열렸다.
아시아 지역을 순회 하면서 열리는 이행사에는 29명의 한국작가가 대표로 참가하였다.
아시아의 현대미술의 새로운 조망과 독특한 아시아지역의 깊은 문화 유산을 토대로한 문제의식으로부터 출발한 이 전시회는 아시아적 가치 중심의 아트포럼 ,전시를 2년 마다 개최한다.
고대 아시아 문명의 찬란한 예술가치를 공유하면서 이를 소통, 재 해석하고 새로운 아시아 지역의 현대미술의 발전과 진화를 위한 새지평을 여는 의미가있다.
아울러 아시아의 실크로드로 상징되던 아시아 예술의 르네상스를 되찾고 세계속에 아시아의 현대미술을 새롭게 인식, 재창조해 나가기 위해 2002년 출범한 아시아의 대규모 국제 미술 행사다.
