Extraordinary opportunity and places limited.    Please book early for your 30 minute session because we expect a MAD RUSH!!!!  REVIEW IS OPEN TO ALL CONTEMPORARY ART PRACTISES ( - not just for photographers).

1.       E-mail your CV /Artist’s Statement to sgfa88@gmail.com  by June 6, for prior review by Dr.  Michiko Kasahara.

2.        Specify preferable times for the 30 minute slots (NOTE: due to the high demand we cannot guarantee your preferred time slots)

For the session, please bring Portfolio of maximum 20 images of current/past work in digital format, and a laptop (on which to show your work).

YOU MUST  HONOUR  YOUR APPOINTMENT, (failing which you will be charged RM 50 in future before acceptance to participate in the Gallery’s reviews.)  - or give at least 2 days notice for cancellation.   There will be a great demand for these slots so please be considerate.

ABOUT:

Michiko Kasahara, an established authority in and curator of Japanese photography, started as a curator with the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography in 1989.  After a four year term at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Tokyo, in the interim, she returned to the Metropolitan Museum as the Chief Curator in 2006. Amongst her many international achievements is her appointment as the commissioner for Japan at the fifty-first Venice Biennale (2005).  In 2008, she was on the panel for MoMA's discussion on 'Postwar Japanese Art: A Panel'.  Her work has been recognised through The Photographic Society of Japan Award (2002) and a number of prestigious awards for her curatorial essays.
