The Museum of Contemporary Art Shanghai
brings the year to an end with a special exhibition highlighting a unique phonomenon in Chinese Contemporary Art, couples in Contemporary Art showcasing 15artists, two somes who both works and cohabit under the same roof.
Under the curating of two Shanghai renowned curators, Jiang and Lixu, couple, Contemporary Art explores gender relation of art couples in Chinese Contemporary Art.
With the " Couple Theme" the 15 participating artists who are important active with Chinese Contemporary Art circle. Over 60 pieces of works featured in a variety of mediums including paintings, sculptures, photography, mixed media, videos.
MoCa 상하이 현대미술관은 2008년을 마감하면서 한 지붕밑에서 기거하는 동성애자들의 삶을 15명 의 중국 현대미술 작가의 작품을 통해서 중국현대미술의 독특한 현상을 특별히 조명하여 전시하고있다.
상하이에서 부부 큐레이터로 그 명성이 잘 알려진 Jiang 와 Lixu 가 중국의 동성관계에 대한 것을 중국의 현대미술로 접근 탐구하고 기획, 현재 중국현대미술 분야에 중요하게 활동하고 있는 15명의 작가들에게 " Couple" 을 주제로 60점의 현대미술작품 사진, 비데오 혼합매체 등 포함한 매체의 다양성을 보여주는 전시다.
