<div>   최근 한국미술 시장은 원로작가들의 작품 진위여부 등으로 인한 혼란과 사회적인 이슈와 맞물려 공급자로써의 신뢰성을 잃고 있으며 수준미달의 아트페어의 범람으로 미술 시장의 기능성을 잃고 표류하는 형국이다. 이러한 상황가운데 한국현대 미술의 정체성과 실질적인 국제시장에서의 위상은 갤러리스트들의 선전에 비해 뚜렷한 판매의 결과물이나 시장발전에 유의미한 발전과 전망이 뚜렷해 보이지 않고 있다.</div><div><font face="Arial" size="3">Recently art market in Korea has losing and looks roaming their trusthy caused by overflowed a lots of low level art fairs that also lose its possibility as the art market, in line with social issue caused chaotic whether truth or falsehood matter in authenticity of senior artists's paintings, in this circumstance, it is uncertain the outlooks that the idenity of Korean contemporary art,and pratical status in global market which doesn't significant development and outcome from sale point compare to the all efforts by gallerists. </font> </div>

<div>더불어 상업화랑들의 과도한 판매전략의 경쟁과 자본, 시장의 불확실성으로 작가와 작품들의 경향마저 미학적 본성과 창의적 열정을 유보하고 일시적인 감각에 의한 대중성 획득에 집작한 듯이 보여 전체적인 작품수준을 떨어 뜨리고 있다. 하물며 최근 한국에서 개최되는 아트페어에 국제적인 해외 딜러와 갤러리들의 참가기피 현상마저 일고 있다. </div>

<div>이번 <strong>Artkorea London 2016 </strong>특별전은 이러한 시장중심의 전시와 차별하여 국제적인 메이저 시장의 중심이라는 영국의 런던에서 작품의 고유성과 신비감으로 한국 현대미술의 진보적 발전을 당당히 노출하며 한국작가의 정신적 가치와 위상을 만드는 새로운 국제무대의 대뷰라는 목표로 IACO-국제미술협력기구와 런던 상업중심가에 위치한 고급 호텔의 하나인 Melia White House Hotel이 후원하고 내부에 부설되어 있는 Le Dame Art Gallery 가 주관 협업한 대규모 특별 기획전이였다. </div>

<div>런던이란 도시는 세계적인 미술관 Tate Modern, White Cube 미술관, Saatchi 갤러리 등 을 공공 또는 사설영역에서 기획, 운영하고 새계미술 시장을 미세 조정하고 있으며 현대미술의 정통성과 최고의 예술문화 인프라를 자랑하는 세계의 미술시장을 움직이는 패권적 위치에 있다. 이런 이유로 사실 동양의 변방작가들의 실질적인 작품 평가와 위상 뿐만 아니라 활동은 미미할 수 밖에 없다. 그나마 몇몇 주요 작가들만이 선택적으로 가끔 운좋게 전시 할 수 있었던 그야말로 범접이 힘든 빅리그 무대라고 할 수 있다. 그러므로 그 접근 방식에 있어서 어렵고 까다로운 미술시장으로 세계적으로 정평이 나있다. 이러한 국제 환경에서 이번 <font face="Arial Black"><font color="#ff0000">Art<font face="Arial">korea</font> London </font><font color="#ff0000" face="Arial">2016</font><strong> </strong></font>전은 르담 아트 갤러리 (<font face="Arial"><strong>Le Dame Art Gallery </strong></font>) Cristina Cellini Antonini 관장의 한국미술에 대한 특별한 관심과 깊은 배려와 차세대 작가 육성을 위한 본 기구 <strong><font face="Arial">IACO</font></strong>의 이붕열 대표( Alvin Lee, Bung Lyol) 가 Partnership 으로 협업 (Collaboration) 하여 동서양, 지역의 편견을 초월하고 미래 지향적 현대미술의 발전에 관한 철학적 담론과 차세대 작가의 육성이라는 비전을 공감하고 1 년간의 상호 노력끝에 조직된 특별전시 였다. </div>

<div>사전 심의된16명의 열정적인 한국작가들의 현대미술작품 총 76점이 독립적으로 영국런던에서 사실상 처음 대규모로 선보인 역대급 무대였다. 따라서 관심있는 바이어, 컬렉터에 의한 작품매매와 이곳에 드나드는 엘리트 비지니스맨들 그리고 일반 대중에게 한 달 간 공개 되어 한국미술의 새로운 신비성과 독특함에 많은 관심과 주목을 받으며 런던이라는 최고의 무대에서 적지않은 반향을 일으켰다. </div>

<div>이번 성공적 개최를 발판으로 매년 국제적 행사로 자리매김하고 한국의 새로운 Emerging 작가와 작품을 Selection 하여 참가하기로 협약하였으며 이를 통해 세계적 반열의 작가를 위한 국제정보 관리와 소통을 위한 로드맵을 만들어 갈 예정이다. 동시에 IACO-국제미술협력기구는 런던을 세계무대의 지향점으로 차세대 한국 현대미술의 특성과 뛰어난 실력을 지속적으로 보일 수 있는 최고의 Showcase 무대로 평가하고 이를 기반으로 지속적인 작가활동을 위한 플랫폼, 시장성 확보, 등 지속가능한(Sustainable)국제 감각의 작가관리 시스템과 이를 통해 Global 지향의 Art Hub Base를 만들수 있는 중요한 기회를 획득하였다.</div>
