초월성 - 싱가폴 Art Museum 에서 3월 15일 까지 열리고 있는 "한국미술 그 Modernity 을 넘어서"
Modern and contemporary Korean artists is a revelation of unique asethetic and sensibility. When seen from abroad perspective, modern Korean art may be seen to be oscillating between two seemingly divergent approaches.
On the other hand, there seems to be an effort to transcend traditional forms. Yet, on the other hand, many artists have been attampting to rediscover the spirit of traditional art. Held in conjunction with the Korean Festival in Singapore, the exhibition examine Korean contemporary art development over the last few decades and features over 40 works by 13artists.
이 전시는 한국의 현대미술작가들의 미학적 감수성을 잘 들어 내고 있다. 해외경향으로 볼때 한국의 현대미술은 다양한 접근방식 사이에서 갈팡질팡하게 보일수도 있다. 한편으로 전통적 형태를 초월할려는 노력이 많이 있어 온 듯 하지만 또 다른 한편으로는 많은 작가들이 아직도 전통의 정신을 되찾으려는 시도를 해온 것도 같다. 싱카폴에서 한국의 페스티벌과 함께 열리는 이 전시는 지난 수십년간의 한국의 현대미술을 파악 할 수 있는 13 명작가의 작품 40여점을 보여주고 있다.
