Zou 는 2006년 10월 Shenzhen 대학에서 대학원생들에게 도시미학을 가르치기 시작했다, 강의 하는기간 Zho 는 다양한 현대 아방가르드 운동을 통한 팝 아트로부터 근대 유럽의 회화 운동을 점검하는 기회를 갖게된다. Zou 는 그의 날으는 사람 시리즈가 중국과 유럽사회의 확연한 문화적 차이를 이해하면서 그 영향을 받아 중국의 현대미술 속에 자리 매김 하였다고 정의한다.
Zou believes that the Flying People series is his unique way of criticizing modern Chinese society. He says that he is not used to the pose of talking to himself with a serious face, but prefer to express himself with the painting language in an unorthodox and relaxed way, which has made him find a great pleasure on canvas.
Zou Wei 는 날으는 사람 시리즈는 중국의 근대 사회를 비평하는 자기만의 독특한 방식이라고 믿고 있다.그는 심각한 표정으로 그 자신에게 얘기하는 장면은 그리지 않으며, 차라리 오소독스하고 편안한 방식의 회화적 담론으로 그 자신을 표현하는 것이 캔버스에서 커다란 기쁨을 발견하게 만든다고 말하고 있다.
